Street parties, music, and dancing are easy to find all over the beach side of town. A stroll along the bay of El Malecón is the perfect way to welcome the New Year. While some neighborhoods are known for their New Year's Eve dinners to watch in the new year, others are known for their impromptu dance parties and late-night food stalls. At midnight, there is always a spectacular fireworks display that you can watch from wherever you are. We suggest heading to the beach to see how fireworks fill the skies along ALL of the coast of Banderas Bay. It is a sight to behold. Don't worry if you brought your kids to Puerto Vallarta for the New Year. It is a very family-friendly destination and New Year's Eve is no exception. There are also special areas filled with children's activities to watch in the New Year. For those who also wish to celebrate the New Year with a more religious tradition, many churches are open for midnight mass and candlelight lighting to remember and bless the new year.
